\"First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes a-\" Hold up. You're joking, right As if life works off a neat little list like that, moving down, checking things off before jumping to the next task. We're not married. We're not lovers. Hell, we're hardly even friends.
Faye Lundy Gibson February 8 2001I am searching for information on any and all of the surnames listed as they are directly connected to my husband's family. Of course GIBSON is where I am trying to focus my attention with this post, just hoping some of the names might connect. Pope Co., Yell Co., and Scott Co., are where some of the families lived at different times. This line of GIBSONs, I am told by my 82 year old Father-in Law, moved to AR from TN and later into OK, in what was then Indian Territory, later Muskogee Co. I am sure migrated through other counties on the way. These are the names of the GIBSON's I have some knowledge of: Father, John B. GIBSON b. Waldron, AR; Mother, Sarah EDDY b.22 Aug 1865, Billings, MO; Sons, Jerry, Carl, George, Clarence, Clem, and James Thomas (my husband's Grandfather) Daughters, Becky, Bertha, and Betty. The other surnames are linked through marriages. My \"stonewall\" is the Father, Mother, and sibling of John B. GIBSON. Some family members said they thought both their Grandmother and GGrandmother had the same name, which I found hard to believe. However, John B. was married to Sarah EDDY 19 August 1883, her parents were Mitchell EDDY and Eliza JENKINS. I recently found Sarah Catharine EDDY married to W. H. GIBSON in the KY marriage search of Lincoln Co. 18 March 1863, but havent located names of their children or siblings. Any and all help will be most appreciated, as I havent found the right size of a hammer to get through this wall.Email: Faye@eufaula.lib.ok.us 59ce067264
